Hello, I’m Corey Allen, the proud owner of CFB Fitness and Nutrition. My journey from health struggles to fitness empowerment has been nothing short of transformative, and I’m excited to share my story with you.
Growing up, I never participated in sports and never considered fitness a priority. It wasn’t until I received a life-altering diagnosis that I realized the significance of taking care of my health. Pre-diabetic and with high blood pressure, I found myself facing a crossroads. With a family history of diabetes and heart disease, these health concerns hit close to home. I weighed 237 pounds and struggled to move or even catch my breath. I lived with constant back and joint pain, and my doctor suggested back surgery for my sciatica. This was my wake-up call.
My fitness journey began with challenges and uncertainties. Armed with little knowledge and no guidance, I embarked on a path that involved extreme measures, including starvation and running. While I did manage to shed some weight, I constantly felt drained and lacked energy. I believed that carbs were my enemy, and this mindset only led to further frustration. Eventually, my progress plateaued, and my weight loss stalled.
Enter CrossFit, introduced to me by my friend Steve Kasson. This marked a turning point in my journey. The diverse and ever-changing workouts captured my heart instantly. I was drawn to the variety and the constant challenge that came with each session. Fitness opened doors to activities I never thought possible. I began to shed pounds and regain control over my health. At my peak, I weighed around 175 pounds, and my health concerns became a distant memory.
As I transformed physically, something unexpected happened on the inside. Fitness became a source of empowerment, and I found myself taking on a leadership role. For someone who struggled with self-esteem, this newfound confidence was a revelation. My transformation inspired others, and the question “How did you do it?” ignited a new passion within me – coaching.
With the unwavering support of my best friend, Laura, I took a leap of faith and co-founded CFB Fitness and Nutrition. We started small, operating out of her single-car garage. Her belief in me propelled me forward, even during challenging times. Together, we formed a dynamic partnership and embarked on a mission to empower others on their fitness journeys.
Today, CFB Fitness and Nutrition stands as a thriving fitness community, driven by a commitment to coaching and accountability. Our carefully selected team shares a common passion – a genuine desire to help others become the best versions of themselves. We cater to busy parents, tailoring fitness solutions that seamlessly fit into their schedules. Our focus on accountability ensures that motivation remains high and goals are achieved. We have many ways to help you reach your goals, from 1 on 1 personal training Semi-Private Training to Nutrition Accountability Coaching and Small Group Fitness. We also offer programs for youth ages 5-17!
